'Tuula' will be shown at The Place London as part of Resolution 2017.
''No sooner do we come into this world than bits of us start to fall off” (Gustave Flaubert) Sculpture and dance converse on growth, alteration and erosion in a humorous and tender exchange.

Static carcasses inhabit the stage, as ethereal presences hinting at the ephemeral aspect of life. A spark of vigor brought by the dancer begins a conversation about the ever-changing body and the cycles it goes through. Short stories on what we are and what we become.

Clémence is a London based artist. Her work is predominantly sculpture that touches on subject of memory, physicality of loss, ageing and solitude, through a humorous eye. Ellen is a dance artist with a lively expression and her interest lies in the co-existence of dynamic physicality and delicate sensitivity that reveals the performer's human characteristics.

Evening is part of a triple bill with works by Emmeline Cresswell and Jayne Port.

Emmeline Cresswell : "A playful investigation into what it is to be human. Tipping from absurdity to tragedy three performers struggle to shed their human form and find temporary relief from being."

Jayne Port: "Two men enter a forest… A solo employing the ancient art of storytelling, this repeated saga moves from adventure to tale. Fear meets mythical creature and strange happenings ensue."
