Tuscany has played an important and significant part in the Artist's life twice. The first time as a student studying at the Atelier Cecil-Graves in Florence, where He was introduced to classical portraiture. The second time as a husband to a Tuscan native, when He returned for an extensive time to immerse himself in and experience Tuscany through the eyes of a local.
This series of paintings were mostly completed on site while others were further developed upon his return to London.
There are landscapes, interiors and portraits. Romanos has tried to capture the warmth of the Italian culture that he experienced and the eternal beauty of the Tuscan light.
