About

We know much about Turner's paintings, but what do we know of the pigments he used? Paint expert Ian Garrett explores the pigments used in Turner's paintings, looking at both their raw and finished states and investigating their origins. Ian Garrett is Retired Technical Director of Windsor and Newton and specialises in the colours and pigments used by Turner. He has presented several talks on this topic and is actively involved in the rescue of the Windsor and Newton Archive. Free cup of tea with every ticket.
