James Meredew is a photographer from Cornwall, currently based in Falmouth. Focussing on analogue methods Meredew has produced a series titled ‘Tripper’ for his first solo exhibition and release of his self-published photo zine trilogy of the same name.
About
Tripper’ is a series of imagery recorded during three separate excursions to South America, Vietnam and Iceland. Afforded by various day jobs Meredew has left for these adventures in the full knowledge of returning to the U.K penniless and forced back into the daily grind in order to pursue the next destined adventure. By travelling outside of his local environs to these unknown territories, Meredew has chosen to record intimate and spontaneous moments that capture his gaze offering an insight into his transient experiences and impromptu recognitions. These locations are far apart but the experience is tied together personally via the lens of Meredew’s trusty 35mm Cameras.
