The UK's only non-Western art fair, Tribal Art London returns to the Mall Galleries with more dealers and an extension to five days. Features ethnographic art, sculpture, textiles, photography and specialist books covering Oceania, the Americas, Africa and the East.
About
A visually exciting and fascinating presentation of art and artefacts from world cultures by 22 dealers from Europe and Africa. Devoted exclusively to showing fine and 'original pupose' works of art mostly pre-mid c20th and, for the first time, contemporary indigenous Australian art. Expect shields, clubs, dance masks, statuary and adornment from Africa, textiles and costume from India, Asia and Tibet, Indian folk art, Himalan textiles, and Latin Amercian tribal art plus wood and stone sculpture, ceramics, baskets and jewellery from around the world. There are also books from a recently acquired library of books on African art.
