Transparencies is a series of events in which Siobhan Davies opens up a previously private choreographic practice to a live audience.
About
For many years, Davies has been building a personal collection of photographs, texts and images printed on transparent paper. By laying them side-by-side, Davies recalls the origins, ideas and connections between these visual materials and herself.
A Process in Company sees Davies invite choreographer Nicola Conibere, dance artist and choreographer Fernanda Munoz-Newsome and film-maker duo Webb-Ellis to observe, discuss and respond to her unconventional and intimate creative process.
The evening provides a rare opportunity for audiences to witness the unlimited possible perspectives of animating Davies own archive, as well as triggering the memories, imaginations and reflections of each of the artists’ personal archives.
