About

Transient Witness documents and interprets the effect of man and natural forces on the environment through the medium of the lens. Nine photographers from Devon and Cornwall, all members of the RPS Contemporary Group SW, show their own and personal interpretation on the subject. Rod Fry, Gabi Krukenberg-Tayler, Paul Cartwright and Muriel Somerfield explore the destruction of the environment to create something new. Ken Holland, Martin Howse and Michael Woodhead show in their images how nature reclaims man-made structures. Jenny Leathes and Nancye Gault observe the changes of landscape caused by seasons and elements.
