About
Transience, an exhibition of printed art by Kate Hawkins, opens Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00. Kate’s recent work, which is primarily fabric-based, reflects the fleetingness and magic of life on Earth: the traces of water vanishing into air, the haze of bluebells on a forest floor, the illuminations of starlight, the memory of a beloved’s touch. The opening reception features improvisatory compositions by Alison Melville on recorder and baroque flute, and dance by Meiko Ando accompanied by Kye Marshall on cello.
