Artist and curator Simon Moretti, in conversation with psychoanalyst and art critic Adele Tutter, discuss the process of curating The Enigma of the Hour.
About
Commemorating the centenary of The International Journal of Psychoanalysis, the exhibition enlists archival materials and contemporary works to illuminate the long, enigmatic relationship of art and psychoanalysis. Chairing the event is Dana Birksted-Breen, co-curator of the exhibition and Editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Psychoanalysis.
Adele Tutter, M.D., Ph.D., is Faculty, Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. Author of numerous interdisciplinary articles, her monographs include Dream House: An Intimate Portrait of the Philip Johnson Glass House (author); Grief and its Transcendence: Memory, Identity, Creativity (co-editor, with Léon Wurmser) ; and The Muse: Psychoanalytic Explorations of Creative Inspiration (editor). She practices psychoanalysis in Manhattan.
