Transformation brings together mixed media work by a number of jewellers from ACJ-Bristol (Association of Contemporary Jewellery) on the theme of transformation.The responses to the subject are many and varied and the resulting works include some jewellery but also larger body pieces including enamel panels, small sculptures and collections of objects. A number of materials demonstrating the range of processes are shown alongside the exhibits. Each jeweller was challenged to use materials and techniques unfamiliar to them to encourage another form of transformation in their methods of working.
ACJ-Bristol is the largest regional group of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery.
