Traffic! Like I have a Car presents the work of three artists whose shared goals explore text as an object and the lines between noise and communication.

Presenting the work of Rachel Marston, Rowan Bazley, Flow Bracey, Traffic! Like I Have a Car is an exhibition of new work by artists using the visual qualities of text as its catalyst for developing ideas. Found or invented, these artists use text as an image itself - cutting words from metal or clay, creating signage, building a space for words to be in.
SHOW, a theatrical intervention outside Stow College in Glasgow, was a scaffold stage intervention conceived by Rachel Marston, hosting 10 performances, including Rowan and Flow’s first live show as Marriage Banxxxd.
Traffic like I have a car creates a gallery within a space. Curtains by Rowan Bazley will be enclosing the artworks, leaving the rest of the space to be considered as not-the-gallery. This highlights the theatrically of the gallery space - and allows process and idea formation to be exposed in spaces ‘behind-the-scenes’

New Gay Manager (Cat Winter and Alex McKenzie) will perform at 7pm on Tuesday the 28th of May inside the bubblegum pink curtain. The performance will be improvised and may cause some viewers to experience the sublime.
