About
Featuring works by Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Paul Cézanne, Tracing the Century presents over 100 works from Tate's collection, together with works loaned by artists. The exhibition highlights the role of drawing as a catalyst for change in modern and contemporary art. It has at its heart, artworks exploring the human body and the inner self. This conversation, between the figurative and the abstract characterised art in the twentieth century. Tracing the Century is currently showing at Tate Liverpool, and will be exclusively be shown at Tate Liverpool and mima.
