Lance Burkitt / Jessica Cormack / Clare Bradley / Margaret Gettens
Surface Gallery is excited to present Traced, an exhibition showcasing the work of students from the Nottingham Trent University MA photography course.
Traced is a display of the individual photographic projects from the two-year part time MA photography course. The photographers have researched, experimented, and developed their skills and knowledge throughout their assignments, exploring a variety of techniques and methods, using both digital and analogue photographic techniques. Each project responds to the theme Traced through a range of interpretations; still life digital prints alongside a free standing installation, an interactive archive of photographic mixed media next to large scale site specific prints, and photo-books and hangings will fill the gallery space. These individual understandings of the theme present a variety of thought provoking and intriguing responses from an ongoing creative journey.
Traced will be on show in the Main Gallery in conjunction with MA/P in the Project Space.
The Private View will take place on Saturday 29th June when you'll be able to enjoy live music from Dave Bradley, Chris Tarrant, and Tom Parratt. Complimentary drinks will be available whilst they last. As always there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Springhead.
