His tendency towards collaboration marks an important aspect of his artistic practice and Madison also often appears as curator, publisher, cineaste or author. It is the omnipresent economization of all areas of life which functions as impetus to many of his works of art. In his projects Madison connects common structures and procedures of public institutions, commercial art galleries, cinemas or off-space places to provoke an alternative analysis of their function. At the kestnergesellschaft Madison will present an installation which will span the entire exhibition space at kestnergesellschaft and analyses how institutionalized ideology is passed on from one generation to another in a playful examination of the enormous and often precarious nature of pedagogy and didactics.
