From Saturday 4th - Monday 6th May, over the Bank Holiday weekend, lifestyle brand TOAST will be hosting its first ever 'Creative Residency' at Paper Mill Studio in Islington

About

Inspired by its Spring Summer collection ‘The Unknown Path’, TOAST has gathered together a group of its most inspiring friends to host a series of walks, talks, and workshops designed to unlock creative potential.

The three-day Residency will offer a thoughtful programme of creative workshops and activities, encouraging women to try their hand at something new, and to see where it could lead to next. For those looking to slow down over the Bank Holiday weekend, quiet boltholes will also provide the opportunity to relax and contemplate. A café will offer light refreshments and drinks throughout the weekend.

Workshops and activities include a talk with Lou Stoppard, Natural Dyeing & Potting with Christine Lewis; Block Printing with Georgia Dorey; a Weaving Workshop led by the renowned Sue Lawty, who previously held the role of Textile Resident at the V&A, a creative writing workshop with Elaine Kingett and a Canapé and Tablescape class with supper club host and author Alexandra Dudley.

Throughout the weekend Molly Martin will be available for teachings in repairs and ways in which to give your garments a new lease of life, and books will be available from the TOAST Book Club for all to enjoy.

TOAST is a unique lifestyle brand, creating and curating simple, functional, beautiful clothing and homeware. Known for their thoughtful, contemporary design and commitment to traditional textiles and craftsmanship, TOAST’s Creative Residency will invite Londoners and visitors alike to slow down, be inspired and take 'The Unknown Path'.

Taking place at Paper Mill Studio, Islington, TOAST Creative Residency is open from 4th – 6th May. Tickets for individual events can be booked via www.toa.st/uk. Limited spaces available at each workshop.
