Centred in the gallery is My fluffy cloud is gentle and lovely and nice and gives exceptionally long hugs (2017), which visitors can sink into while being wrapped in the long soft cushions attached. The work moulds according to the shape of each individual body and provides a social space for being with other people. Arranged on the floor are My soft pebbles grant magical healing powers to those who hold them with tenderness (2016). They can be held comfortably in a person’s hand, being there to give a sense of solace and protection in times of anxiety and uncertainty. Also in the gallery sits My affectionate ball provides safety and comfort and encourages competence and self-reliance (2016). As part of the exhibition visitors are encouraged to embrace, lean into and bounce off the inflatable ball.
