Emerging late, Ken Kiff (1935-2001) became a key figure in the art of the 1980s. A revelatory draughtsman, illustrator and printmaker, always alert to the processes by which each image is formed, his greatest achievement may be in his acrylic-on-paper Sequence" — eventually numbering more than 200. Kiff placed an emphasis on "the feminine"
