The 'Tight Modern' is an 8ft x 5ft miniature replica of the iconic Tate Modern, showcasing the UK’s most talented artists on the margins. The 'Tight Modern' aims bring new art to new audiences and take new artists to established art galleries.
About The Tight Modern
The 'Tight Modern' showcases over 80 artists from across the UK, enabling those on the margins to get their work out there - the 2014/15 'Tight Modern' tour was seen by over 52,000 people and the 2016/17 tour is expected to reach over 100,000.
Following a national call for entries, 84 artworks were selected by a panel of arts industry professionals. Workshops to encourage people to submit to the' Tight Modern' were held at the Aspex, as well as Jubilee Library (Brighton) & Redbridge Library (Ilford).
