Self-portraiture is self-representation. It allows communication with one's own inner image, which is the base for self-knowledge and personal memory.
Self-portraiture means also storytelling and allows not only to tell about one's inner world but also about external reality.
The purpose of this workshop is to develop a method through research, focus on goals, and technical and aesthetic choices that will allow creating a photographic/video project based on self-portraiture.
What we will cover:
We will focus on self-representation, body as space and memory, dance and movement, sound, and text.
Each participant will develop a personal project.
One of the meetings will be run in collaboration with Dr Manuela Stucchi, psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist
It is not necessary to have photography knowledge. Participants can use cameras or cell phones to make their projects.
