About
Through the Green Fuse brings together ten new visual responses to poems the participating artists have chosen. Though the show is curated with an overall focus on themes of ecology, community and the anthropocene, the crucial concepts are translation and re-interpretation. Visitors are invited to consider how ideas and images are re-imagined through the minds of visual artists working across film, sculpture, print, drawing and installation. Selected poets range from a modern translation of Catullus by Isboel Williams to CA Conrad and Sean Borodale.
The opening evening on April 6th will feature readings from local poets. Additionally, writing group Nothing Personal will host a workshop at the gallery on 9th April from 3 - 6pm, (attendance requires a free ticket booked through eventbrite).
