Threads open crit platform is a space for work-in-progress to be discussed within a peer group. Open to all, attendees are encouraged to bring new approaches and thoughts to influence those who wish to share their work.
Threads crit sessions, having been running, since 2015 on a monthly basis across East Kent.
Please feel free to email in advance to confirm attendance and discussion of your work firstname.lastname@example.org. Booking is not essential, however, a quick response to let us know your interested will help us plan timings.
Previous crits have around 15 attendees, not everyone speaks about their own work, although the more who do the better! If you don't want to share your own work, we encourage you to just turn up and contribute insight, or feedback to others work. This is so helpful, especially to artists who may not usually encounter any feedback to their work.
We have had artists attend who are from painting, sound, video and performance backgrounds as well as established international artists. This helps cement the peer to peer intention which is set at these crits.
