“Thoughts from Inside Out” will be a self-reflective exhibition centering around the unconventional childhood image of heritage, memory, environment and the minuscule details in life that shape the young ethnic child way into their adulthood; In these photos and videos, the subject matter takes place in my mother’s hometown of Porus, a small community in the countryside of Manchester, Jamaica where I spent most of my childhood days. These images were taken upon my most recent trip back to that very same area, only now viewed through the lens of a fully grown adult. Conveyed through the mediums of picture and film, with the aid of humane graphic and video design. The gallery will be something similar to an oversized photo book when presented to the viewer. An immersive experience that could be akin to waking up on a  warm summer day in the tropics, reflecting the distant past of one’s childhood and the opportunistic future for that same individual.
