Thomas James: Dead Happy
About
The Chopping Block in partnership with The Sassoon gallery is proud to be presenting Thomas James’ first solo show, Dead Happy. A filmic meditation on the grotesque and the absurd - a surreal collage of short narratives, horrific tableauxs and absurdist theatre that inhabits a space between the nightmarish and the dreamlike.
In an exhibition of his most recent shorts and celluloid experiments, the show serves as an exploration of the darker, subconscious chasms film and story can create. A wry cinematic smile, entertained by the Sysiphian absurdities of life.
The exhibition opens with a PV on the 2nd of August from 6pm.
