About
Winner of the J and W Gordon Smith Trust 2021 Painting Prize, Thomas Adam is a Scottish artist and recent Royal College of Art graduate. Adam uses a diverse range of print and sculptural methods to produce notions of an extended metaphysical space beyond the surface of the flat image. A recurring male character in the artist’s work can be interpreted as an autobiographical figure, contemplative about the self and his surrounding contemporary society, yet disconnected from it.
