This is an exhibition of an Art Research Project “This Is Mine” about emigration of Russian people after February 24th 2022
About
After February 24th at least 500 thousand Russian citizens (up to 900 thousand) left the country. Many of them had never thought about immigration before that day, many of them paced their belongings in a rush, many people tried to fit their whole world in a regular travel suitcase or even in a backpack.
This project is a way to look at emigration (that still in progress) in a physical way. The artist created the research tried to understand this people through their items and asked them to tell a story about one thing that they bring with them into new life. This project is a result of assembling of what people want to show and tell about their expirence.
We’ve created this event as an exhibition and discussion with the artist about emigration and stuff, the viewers brought, if they also emigrants. Discussion will start at the opening at 12:00 on the 4'th of March 2023.
