Thea Djordjadze is the recipient of the second Outset Residency at the South London Gallery. For her first UK solo exhibition she has produced new works during her summer residency at the gallery.
About
For her solo show at the SLG, Thea Djordjadze has created a new sculptural installation in direct response to the specific character of the main exhibition space. It represents the latest development in an art practice which she sees as being a continuous process, repeatedly drawing on existing works and materials, reconfigured into fresh iterations in combination with entirely new pieces. Thea Djordjadze, born in 1971 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and currently based in Berlin, is the recipient of the second Outset Artist Residency at the SLG.
