WHITECONCEPTS Gallery is delighted to present “The X (Anniversary)”. With this group show, the Berlin-based gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary.

“The X (Anniversary) Part II” starts from April 4 – 28. The second exhibition of our anniversary show will present a fine selection of works by 16 artists with whom the gallery has worked throughout this intensive decade. 10 years represent the passage of time, but also the imprint of a place within this time.

WHITECONCEPTS gives priority to issues concerning perceptions of space and regards this notion as a unifying principle of artistic positions. In close cooperation with artists, primarily socially critical projects are presented, which show diverse and forward-looking perspectives. Building on the avant-garde power of art, the gallery has built an international network. WHITECONCEPTS is also a regular publisher of artist catalogs and monographs.

WHITECONCEPTS was founded in 2009 by the curator and art manager Nicole Loeser. The curatorial commitment has always been to explore artistic methods, to stimulate debates about current artistic practices, discourses and theories. The gallery focuses primarily on conceptual art and an interdisciplinary engagement with various media, including visual and sculptural works, installations, performances and public interventions.

So far, Nicole Loeser and her team have curated more than 80 exhibitions and numerous art projects and participated in 30 international art fairs.

Die Galerie WHITECONCEPTS freut sich, “The X“ zu präsentieren. Mit dieser Gruppenausstellung feiert die Berliner Galerie ihr zehnjähriges Bestehen.

“The X (Anniversary) Part II” läuft vom 4. bis 28. April. Der zweite Teil unserer Jubiläumsausstellung zeigt eine Auswahl von Werken von 16 KünstlerInnen, mit denen die Galerie während dieses intensives Jahrzehnts zusammengearbeitet hat. 10 Jahre stehen vor allem für eine Zeitspanne, aber auch die Prägung eines Ortes innerhalb dieser Zeit.

WHITECONCEPTS geht vor allem Fragen der Raumwahrnehmung nach und betrachtet dies als ein verbindendes Prinzip der künstlerischen Positionen. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit KünstlerInnen werden vorrangig gesellschaftskritische Projekte vorgestellt, die vielfältige und zukunftsweisende Perspektiven aufzeigen. Auf die avantgardistische Kraft der Kunst bauend, hat die Galerie ein internationales Netzwerk aufgebaut. WHITECONCEPTS ist zudem regelmäßige Herausgeberin von Künstlerkatalogen und -monografien.

WHITECONCEPTS wurde 2009 von der Kuratorin und Kunstmanagerin Nicole Loeser gegründet. Die kuratorische Verpflichtung bestand immer darin, künstlerische Methoden zu erkunden, Debatten über aktuelle künstlerische Praktiken, Diskurse und Theorien anzuregen. Die Galerie konzentriert sich vor allem auf konzeptuelle Kunst und eine interdisziplinäre Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen Medien, darunter visuelle und skulpturale Arbeiten, Installationen, Performances und andere kreative Interventionen.

Bislang kuratierte Nicole Loeser mit ihrem Team mehr als 80 Ausstellungen und zahlreiche Kunstprojekte und nahm an 30 internationalen Kunstmessen teil.
