For the inaugural exhibition at K6 gallery, artist collective Stair/Slide/Space will be investigating the very particular and peculiar set of circumstances that make up this new art space.
About
Through discussions with the creators of K6, the visitors that may experience it and the people that occupy the area around it, research will be gathered as a starting point for a continually evolving visual conversation. For the duration of the show an exchange will unfold between Stair/Slide/Space and the K6 audience, as reactions and actions are recorded and documented through a series of residency days by the collective.
Stair/Slide/Space began in a basement in Portsmouth in 2012. They are a group of artists and curators that work collectively to foster research and concept-led artistic practice, exploring collaborative ways of working and often conducting experimental visual conversations and supporting critical discussion.
