This event is an networked performance festival hosted yearly, at the School of Cultural Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. The performance events are all performed & curated by Year 3 BA.(Hons) Arts, Technology and Entertainment with Contemporary Entrepreneurship students.
About
The theme of The Walls is about showing or breaking down barriers, whether physical, technological or ideological. In the context of networked performance. This theme can explore how technology and digital communication can be used to connect people and create new forms of expression, breaking down the limitations of physical space and traditional performance structures. It could also explore the difficulties and conflicts that arise when trying to merge virtual and physical spaces, and how performance can be used to challenge the social and emotional walls people face. It could showcase the art of addressing these issues and encourage people to break down the walls that separate them. Overall, the theme The Walls aims to provide a broad and challenging framework for exploring the possibilities and limitations of networked performance.
