A small exhibition by an artist Beverley Coldron who wanted to make people aware of the types of slavery that still happens in a world that we seem to wander around blindly
About
The Unheard and the Unseen. 22nd November - 24th November 2022, Old Lightwell Room, University of East London, U.K.
The Unheard and the Unseen at the Old Lightwell Room, University of East London is a selection of paintings and prints by Artist Beverley Coldron showing her work on slavery The title, "The Unheard and The Unseen" focuses on the many people mistreated in modern slavery who are paid a pittance, some with their lives, for the things we take for granted.
Many people are unaware of these facts and walk around blindly.
The object of the exhibition is not to stop people using the products, but make them realise that slavery did not end at the abolition, but is still continuing today in the 21st century in front of our very eyes.
