Pump House Gallery celebrates its second annual open call exhibition The Trouble with Painting Today, curated by Hannah Conroy and members from Wandsworth University of the Third Age (U3A).
About
Exhibiting artists: Russell Chater, Brian Cheeswright, Yumi Chung, Susan Connolly, Sarah Cooney, Daisy Delaney, Robin Footitt, Marita Fraser, Abi Freckleton, Tina Jenkins, Nnena Kalu, Hannah Luxton, William Mackrell, Jaya Mansberger, Cara Nahaul, Raksha Patel, Niki Russell, Ellis Sharpe, Lucy Smalley, Joan Sugrue, Guo-Liang Tan, Sarah West, Felice Zhukov
The exhibition aims to raise questions about why artists continue to paint, and questions the intrinsic value of painting. The exhibition will be curated by Hannah Conroy and members of a local charity. The exhibition will consider how painting responds to the context of the gallery, resulting in an imaginatively curated, outstanding exhibition open to the public.
