A free-to-visit exhibition of up to 200 pieces of contemporary art from current Sussex artists. Access is from the beach level of the British Airways i360.
About
This year the Sussex Contemporary is bringing together the best of art inspired by the food and drink of Sussex, from still life observations to landscapes, portraits, restaurant scenes, farmlands, produce or a depiction of favourite Sussex food. We invited artists connected with the county to enter this celebration of Sussex bounteous produce, producers and food scene.
All art in the exhibition will be for sale, and a percentage of raised will go directly to Table Talk Foundation, a registered charity that provides food education to primary school children in Sussex and supports our local hospitality industry.
The Sussex will be open to the public at the county's most contemporary building, the British Airways I360, on Brighton's seafront. It will be free to visit from the 8th Oct till the 22nd Oct. Opening hours will be 11am - 5pm.
We have an exciting programme of events surrounding the exhibition, with an esteemed panel of expert judges choosing what goes into the gallery space. This is going to be an exhibition you'll want to visit.
