Rostra Gallery continues the Summer Exhibition with a fantastic new collection of sculpture from some of the best artists working today. This is a chance to see some highly collectable pieces of sculpture finished to precision from artists such as Amanda Popham, Eleanor Bartleman and Joanne Cooke.
About
Amanda Popham’s work is instantly recognisable and shows her love of drawing and devotion to the art of ceramics. Her expressive bottles and vessels were first exhibited in Liberty of London in the 1990’s and since then she has had continued success with her work being collected across the globe. Joanne Cooke has created a new collection of ceramic dogs which have been lovingly sculpted to give each a character and personality of it’s own. Eleanor Bartleman works in porcelain making magical pieces inspired by stories and myths. She creates intricate pots and bells beautifully coloured and layered with detail from dancing foxes to hugging squirrels. Hannah Kenway joins Rostra Gallery with her bronze sculptures inspired by her profession as a Vet. Years of studying the anatomy and physiology of various animals has resulted in a view of the living animal as a functional and structure based being, which is demonstrated beautifully in her expertly crafted sculptures.
Indulge your eyes this July with some surreal but sumptuous sculpture on display until 27th August. Contact the gallery now for a complimentary invitation to the Private View on Friday 1st July.
