Streets of … (7 minutes in 7 cities around the world) is a video audio installation by artist Alda Terracciano, which aims to be exhibited in 2012 at the London cultural Olympiads. The project is an exploration of the traces and memories left in the human body by migratory movements (in particular the Indo European migrations, the slave trade, and the silk road) and the ways in which shared histories Streets of Salvador is is the latest episode in this global journey, exploring the everyday life of the Brazilian city with the largest population of African descent outside of Africa, its rhythms, forms of communal life, collective memory and everyday rituals. It is presented in conjunction with Streets of Naples and Streets of Mumbai. Come and join us to see how the journey is progressing!
