Bassweight is the first feature documentary to tackle the much talked about subject of Dubstep music. Starting in its birthplace of Croydon, Dubstep has emerged as one of the most exciting new forms of dance music and has spread worldwide at a massive rate. Featuring in-depth interviews with many of the world's best exponents of the art form, Bassweight focuses on the characters within the genre, from Skream and Benga to Kode 9, Plastician and BBC1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs. With imagery from Europe to Japan and Brazil, Bassweight is one of the most unique stylized music documentaries celebrating this new form of dance music.
