The Sacred Screen meets Hotel 419, in a unique crossover event re-purposing works from both previous events to create new collaborations between two collectives.
The Sacred 419 (aka The Sacred Screen x Hotel 419) is a collaborative project between Jonny Tanna and Morgane Wagner (The Square Gallery London).
Following on their previous shows (Hotel 419 and The Sacred Screen, respectively), an idea was born to follow on from the collaborative aspect of each show and configuring the ideas to repurpose either shows as an artistic collaboration, partially inspired by the Condo Complex project.
With a relation to the transient connection of online friendships and the effect it has on this current generation, contributing artists have never met face to face, yet have formed bonds and projects separate to the show, which enabled this collaborative project to take place.
Themes of addiction, obsession and cyber crime are at the core of the pieces and indirectly translate the unconcious means that formed the relationships.
Guests include: Miro Arva, Marie Aimee, Amanda Ali, Jon Arbuckle, David Blandy, Parker Day, Roxanne Gatt, Ed Fornieles, Connie Harrison, Bob Bicknell-Knight, Marica Martella, Corie Denby McGowan, Col Self, Joslyn Willauer and Jeunghae Yim
