This exhibition of new work by Marielle Schram is inspired by walking. Especially the rhythm of walking.
the artist says:’I can feel the rhythm of my feet hitting the ground, see the rhythm of fleeting shapes and colours in the corner of my eye. And then I try to follow my own wandering mind.’
The pieces in The rhythm of my feet is in my hands are collages made up of paint, paper and prints using a variety of printmaking techniques. Small works on paper also hang alongside the bigger collages mounted on canvas.
A number of the smaller works on paper are being made available for sale at a lower price (all under £50) to benefit the charity Safe Passage, the Lord Dubs scheme which works to provide unaccompanied child refugees in Europe with safe legal routes to sanctuary.
