Titled The Representational & The Real: Bodies in Digital Space, the discussion will open up questions such as, who is represented in technology and art? Who is practicing in these spaces? Who is building technology, creating digital imagery and for who?
We’ll hear from a range of speakers who will discuss how we can harness technology to serve our needs, challenge social constructs and create new creative opportunities.
The discussion will be part performative with some bodies IRL and others in digital space. It will show us what digital spaces can facilitate, what we need to be aware of when practicing in these spaces and how the digital affects our understanding and ethics of what we do.
