The Reliquary Project exhibition is a culmination of artist Jo Dacombe’s residency within the School of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester.
About
Working within their Bone Laboratory and supported by zooarchaeologist Dr Richard Thomas since September 2014, Jo has created a body of work that explores the idea of bones as relics and questions how we value objects, relics and archaeological items in a contemporary context. Through the residency Jo has explored ideas through making, including large and small scale sculptures, drawings, photographs, mechanical devices, scans and x-rays.
You are invited to join the Attenborough Arts Centre team for the launch of our new exhibitions, with a chance to meet the artists and see the artw
