For the past 16 years Jackie Morris, artist, illustrator and author, has been commissioned by Help Musicians UK to create the illustration for their annual Christmas Card.
In 2016 the collection is being published as a beautiful new book,
The Quiet Music of Gently Falling Snow, also the title of the 2015 commission (published by Graffeg).
New Brewery Arts is proud to be showing many of the original paintings and prints in their exhibition ‘The Quiet Music’. It will be the first time this body of work will go on public display.
This is a wonderful opportunity for New Brewery Arts to highlight the craft of musical instrument making. Jackie’s magical illustrations will be shown alongside hand crafted instruments, all made by British craftsmen.
On 16th Sept, the opening day of the exhibition, the artist will be in the gallery between 2 and 5pm painting and talking about her work. This is followed by an evening celebration where Jackie will read extracts from The Quiet Music to invited guests. Live music will add to the celebrations
