About
You are warmly invited to the launch of The Process Of Doubt, a joint exhibition by Kate Molloy and Róisín O'Sullivan. The opening will take place on Friday the 7th of September from 6pm to 8:30pm followed by an after party at The Wickham Tap, who have kindly sponsored the event with refreshments. The exhibition will continue to run until the 16th of September.
The Process of Doubt attempts to emphasise the many decisions an artist faces during their working process. This exhibition focuses on the precarious balance between instinct and conscious thought.
Both practices are engaged with varying painting methods but have also incorporated printmaking as a tool to develop and further engage the painting practice. Initiated through the diverse topic of abstraction, the exhibition questions what motivates as well as inhibits an artist and more specifically a contemporary painter?
In 2011, both artists completed a BA in Fine Art Painting at GMIT. Currently Kate is a member of Wickham Street Studios, Limerick. She graduated with an MFA from Edinburgh College of Art in 2014. Kate was shortlisted for Beers London Contemporary Visions VI. Róisín has recently completed a solo exhibition in Ballina Arts Centre in Co. Mayo. In 2015, she graduated with an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London, where she still lives and works.
Looking forward to seeing you at the opening.
