About
Join Lindsay Shen, Director of Art Collections at Chapman University, California, who will explore the power of silver to transform our landscapes and economies, and shape our ideas and beliefs.
From vanquishing werewolves and deflecting malevolent spirits, to signalling our social status or our religious devotion, silver is powerfully symbolic. It has been instilled with meaning ever since humans learnt to extract it from the ground. Because of its capacity for multiple meanings, earth's most shiny metal may also be its most useful.
Exchange innovative ideas and network with your peers with a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink from 6pm. The talk starts at 6.30pm.
