About

Kate McMillan's solo exhibition of new work is an investigation on how sounds can serve as an umbilical cord back in time, thus functioning as an intermediary into the past.

The work manifests as a film based installation, incorporating projected films, sound, performance and sculpture in the attempt to reconstruct a labyrinth of lost things, and  acknowledge the lost voices of our history.

The sound of the exhibition was developed in collaboration with Cat Hope.  On the 17th of March a performance by percussionist  Signy Jakobsdottir will activate the objects that punctuate the gallery space.

Art Review Glasgow will be interviewing Kate McMillan at Civic Room after the performance, during the closing event of The Past is Singing in our Teeth. Issues of ARG1 will be available.
