An exhibition showcasing printed works by two Artists: Frances Stanfield & Frances Fay Davies. Drawing inspiration from people and places they observe both artist use printing techniques to create energetic and painterly marks.
Frances Fay Davies - Experimenting with printing techniques to create different qualities of line, Frances Fay Davies is constantly expanding and challenging her approach to observational drawing through print. Combining inspiration from narratives, poems and her surroundings she captures a sense of place through a sensitivity to line and light.
Frances Stanfield- Frances Stanfield’s work explores mono-printing through fluid and gestural mark-making. In this exhibition she draws from observation; abstracting and exaggerating the characteristics of sitting figures. Her sensitivity to colour, texture and movement gives her prints a painterly feel.
