About
Featuring new and recent paintings of Britain's churches, chapels and cathedrals by members of the Federation of British Artists (FBA).
The Painted Parish will present paintings exploring British Churches, examining notions of place and time, landscape and loss, as well as faith and worship.
This rare exhibition is evidence that even in this apparently secular age, just as the parish inspired some of our greatest artists of the past (from Turner and Constable, to Edward Bawden and John Piper), Britain's sacred spaces continue to capture the imagination of artists today.
