SHELL LIKE present a re-excavation of their 2017 listening event as part of the 2019 Art Night Open Programme. With audio work by 10 artists and writers, presented for collective listening within an installation of sculptural works by artist Bethan Lloyd Worthington

About

As night falls on Waltham Forest, this programme sounds the nurturing of hope in the wake of destruction and decay, evoking visions of expansive moorland, boggy ground, green city parks and ancient ruins. Around the sound Lloyd Worthington's sculptural works render objects from the natural world as delicate, devotional talisman. Through a shared absorption in environment and sound, the programme encourages the need for empathy that extends beyond human interaction; a communion with nature to the throb of ecstatic beats - emanating from the earth, pop music and the heart.
