The Message is the Medium, a group exhibition presented by new art app Arthur, and curated by Paige Silveria and Rose Vickers. Opening reception will be followed by an afterparty at The River (102 Bayard St) where we'll be enjoying two custom Alli Gelles cakes.

The technology underlying NFTs, and the pathways that are opening to artists through that technology, blur some lines between what has typically been understood as medium and message. But embedded technology is nothing new, and all materials act—in different ways—as vessels for history. This leaves us in a curious place: at the end of a trajectory of materials leading up to NFTs, while other disciplines peak in their own right.
The medium winds us up. The message is parabola. The message is depth and density. The medium is licked off a spoon. All of the mediums are at 484 Broome St, Soho.
