Charity Art Auction featuring work from Paula Rego, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Sarah Lucas, Ian Davenport, Michael Craig- Martin, Cornelia Parker and Sir Peter Blake

About

Featuring some of the most notable figures on the contemporary art scene, the auction has the full support of Sotheby's and will be hosted by one of their top auctioneers. Highly renowned contemporary artists and cutting edge new faces have united to raise urgently needed funds. The auction boasts over 60 pieces of exceptional artwork, including pieces by Paula Rego, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Sarah Lucas, Ian Davenport, Michael Craig- Martin, Cornelia Parker and Sir Peter Blake. A selection of the works will be exhibited at the Royal Institution in the days leading up to the event. To see the full collection of sculptures, photography, and paintings, and all of the exciting details, please look online at www.torturecare.org.uk/art. Sadly, torture is a reality in many countries around the world, and survivors will endure the lasting effects for the rest of their lives. The Medical Foundation is the only national UK charity that cares for the people who have survived and helps them rebuild their future, providing them with the specialist care they desperately need. For the first time, members of the Medical Foundation's Open Art Studio project, survivors of torture from different corners of the world, are contributing their own fascinating pieces. Please do feel free to pass on these details to anyone else you know might be interested in attending this auction. If you are unable to attend, we would be extremely grateful if you could support this event by placing absentee bids or making a donation online. This event has a particularly high return so your donation will go an extremely long way. Entrance to the evening is free. To join the guest list, please visit www.torturecare.org.uk/art
