This October, CultureLabel presents a solo exhibition of work by artist David Shillinglaw in aid of the charity Mind. The exhibition features paintings, prints, drawings and collection of published books exploring the the ideals of happiness.

About

“The work for this series is inspired by the struggle to find balance and the quest for happiness. This is an issue I feel affects all of us every day as we attempt to create a peaceful and organised mind. It seems natural at this point to apply aspects of my practice to illustrating and raising awareness of both problems and solutions associated with mental health awareness. Art has the power to create a space to ask questions without necessarily demanding answers. I am excited at the prospect of my artwork being associated with Mind and the work they are doing to support people with mental health problems.” David Shillinglaw

Ahead of the exhibition, CultureLabel has also launched a series of T-shirts and limited edition prints with 15% of proceeds going to Mind.

Shillinglaw will be launching his self-published book The Mechanics of Happiness at the private view of the exhibition.

To view the full collection of work please visit www.culturelabel.com.

With every purchase, at least 15% of profits will be donated to Mind, helping them to continue their vital work in supporting the one in four people who live with a mental health problem each year.

Mind, the mental health charity, provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. www.mind.org.uk
