Your chance to make part of the LOMO Wall
About
In the run up to The LOMO Wall Exhibition, in association with Lomography.com, Kitch-en is hosting a Lomography workshop. This is your chance to meet the artists and to have a go!What is Lomography?
This mass-produced Soviet camera is famed for ignoring the established rules of "good" photography. The resulting snaps are often odd to look at, out of focus and, due to the character of the Lomo lens, garishly coloured but wonderfully fresh.
The craze for Lomo has spread so fast it is now a worldwide phenominon and this workshop forms part of the pre-congress projects taking place all over the UK in the run up to the London Lomography World Congress.
The Workshop
Helen and Ben will be talking about the history and techniques of the famous Lomo camera, followed by a practical session where you will be able discover Middlesbrough through lomo eyes on a mini walking tour.
Film & Camera will be provided for you to shoot with, together with a selection of biscuits and a nice cup of tea! The workshop will be approximately 2.5 hrs length, and we will be venturing outdoors !
It gets even better though.... your work will then be used to create a 'Lomowall' and shown as part of our Lomograhy Exhibition. Ever wanted to see your work up in a professional gallery? well here's your chance!
Places are limited and we expect them to fill up fast so please reply with interest to kit@kitch-en.co.uk asap!
